Brand Scaling
From large-scale field events to conference experiences. Booth design, spatial systems, and print production built to execute globally.

DeepL
Field Marketing Toolkit
Governing a brand through rapid growth means making decisions that hold. At DeepL, that means maintaining visual coherence across digital, print, social, and physical environments simultaneously, including exhibitions and trade shows across four continents. Field marketing at global scale is a systems problem before it is a design problem. Every event has different dimensions, different audiences, different regional requirements, but the brand has to feel like one thing across all of them.

Built on top of DeepL's core identity, I developed a dedicated toolkit for field marketing, handling every surface and its specific production constraints: back walls, side panels, counters, demo stations, retractable banners, and swag, each with its own compositional logic and communication priorities. I owned the full process: from kickoff call to print-ready file delivery, coordinating with design leads, internal stakeholders, and print vendors across regions and languages.

Zero production errors across four years and hundreds of deliverables globally.

SKILLS: SYSTEMS THINKING · BRAND STRATEGY · PRINT PRODUCTION ·  END-TO-END OWNERSHIP
TOOLS: FIGMA, ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE
TEAM: ANA M. RODRIGUES (BRANDING LEAD), VIDHI JAVIERI AND HEIKE TYTSCHKOWSKI (PROJECT MANAGEMENT)

My approach started by mapping the variables: booth sizes, surface types, regional colour sensitivities, production constraints per market. From that map, I built a modular system where each component has clear rules for how it adapts, what stays fixed, what flexes, and what gets localised.
The result is much more than a template, its toolkit: a design logic that any team, agency or vendor can apply correctly without losing the visual coherence of the whole.

What that covered:
  • Trade show turnkey design toolkit, a scalable framework for internal designers and external agencies to apply consistently across events and markets.
  • 117 booth designs, turnkey and custom trade show environments designed end-to-end.
  • 200+ marketing deliverables, including bifolds, flyers, one-pagers, and supporting event collateral.
  • 120+ swag designs, branded merchandise systems and design logic for special activations and event materials.

As the volume and complexity of print production increased, I developed a dedicated production-readiness system to ensure every asset was thoroughly reviewed before going to print.

The workflow brought together file preparation, design peer reviews, copywriter proofreading, stakeholder approval rounds, and print-production mentorship, creating a structured quality-control process across every stage. The system maintained zero production errors across four+ years of continuous print production, while enabling the team to scale output without compromising quality or consistency.

Design principles for the AI era
Brand systems in field marketing operate under constant pressure: regional variations, tight timelines, and asset volumes that manual production cannot sustain. Automated flows  (when built on a solid design system) protect and expand judgment.
